Daivon Laber’s Army Ambitions

Daivon Laber has a strong passion to join the army. Daivon plans to follow in the steps of his Grandpa who served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He is motivated by his desire to help his country and others.

Davion has wanted to join the Army for as long as he can remember. He plans on enlisting when he turns 18. Davion is a 14 year old freshman at Central High School. He was born near Port Saint Lucie in Florida and has also lived in North Carolina before making the move to Tennessee.

Davion

In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his friends and family. His friends and family are a big aspect of his life helping support him in his passions and in all aspects of his life. Davion’s friends would describe him as chill, calm, and cool. If you’re by the lake on weekends you may catch Davion fishing, as it is one of his favorite pastimes. He also enjoys swimming and can hold his breath for over 2 minutes!

During the school day English is where he thrives he says, “my fav subject is probably English because it comes easy to me.” When he’s not at school Davion enjoys listening to music and playing video games. When listening to music he gravitates towards rap. His favorite rappers are NBA young boy, Trippy red and 21 savage. He also enjoys playing video games like fortnight, apex, warzone, and minecraft.

Davion enjoys joking around but people don’t always get the joke. He says the most common misconception about him is that people don’t know when he’s joking. He uses sarcasm a lot in his daily speech and says people don’t always know when he’s joking or when he is being serious.

Many topics and opinions he stays neutral on or does not feel strongly one way or another, he says he is a ,”go with the flow person”. When asked the question if you were president what would you do he simply answered that he would not want to be the president since they are no different then a normal person they just have additional responsibilities that he would not wish to have.

Davion’s ultimate goal is to join the army but until he turns 18 he will continue to live his life as a “normal” high school student.
