Luke Vickers arises out of bed bright and early at 7 a.m. He prepares himself for a busy school day. Vickers’ day includes Journalism, Gym and English all before his soccer practice even starts.

After school Vickers has little time to rest. Most days of the week Vickers goes to practice for his soccer team. Vickers needs to work tirelessly to improve his craft.

As he runs down the wing, dribbling the ball Vickers thinks of his family. “I love my Family, I play for them,” Vickers stated.  “I also want to impress my coaches, they got me where I am today,” he continued.

After a tiring day, Vickers loves to enjoy a chocolate protein shake and apple sauce. “It’s my way to kind of decompress after a long hard day,” Vickers stated. Vickers’ day is filled to the brim with activities and when he finds a little free time he enjoys the show, “Pokerface” on Peacock.  He enjoys having a little time for entertainment each day. “I make sure to be thankful for what little free time I get each day because I know some people don’t get that luxury,” He said.

After all that, Vickers makes sure to get plenty of rest before doing it all over again. “I make sure to be in bed by 10:30 and asleep by 10:45,” he said. “8 full hours nothing less,” He continued. He knows he has to wake up and do it all again the next day.

Vickers leads a model life as a student. He doesn’t let all the activities he’s involved in overwhelm him. All student-athletes should aspire to be like Vickers.
