DeJay Merchant is noticed and liked by all of his peers. DeJay always gets his work done and offers to help others. DeJay is in the concert band at Central High School and he very much enjoys it.
DeJay dedicates a lot of his time to drumming and Central High School concert band. DeJay joined the band in 6th grade and originally played the clarinet until 7th grade where he switched to percussion and ever since he has stuck with it. DeJay enjoys being at school and hanging out with his peers.

In DeJay’s free time when he is not working, he enjoys going to the mall and playing pool. He loves spending time with his best friends. “I enjoy hanging out with my friends because it’s fun”, said DeJay. He has made many friends over his freshman and newly starting sophomore year and he is ready to see how it goes.
Although DeJay is busy with school work and actual work after school, he still finds time to go and watch his little brother’s football games. He knows that his brother goes to his games so he likes to repay him. DeJay likes to see his little brother succeed.
As school goes by, DeJay focuses on success in school and getting A’s and B’s. In the future he plans to go to some form of engineering school. He would like to continue with percussion after High School and be in some form of concert band or marching band.
As DeJay makes his way through high school, he continues to have a smile and actually enjoy his day at school. DeJay has made lots of friends here at Central High School and he is excited for where school takes him in life.
