Texas Chainsaw Massacre 50th Anniversary

!!!WARNING THIS COMMENTS A LOT ABOUT BLOOD AND GORE/MORE!!!

So if you are squeamish this is not for you. Thank-you.

For almost 50 years the notorious horror experience called The Texas Chainsaw Massacre that has brought fear to many. And now for the celebration of his 50th anniversary we are talking about amazing facts about the movie and the directors and actors themselves.

For every single amazing idea for horror experience there is a inspiration, and the inspiration for this story is the serial killer Ed Gein. The reason for this is that he would skin his victims even eat them and make them into furniture. But it gets worse, one of his victims he wore there skin as a coat and where them as a mask. From this they had the idea of Leatherface expressing himself with his masks and then eating them alive with his family as cannibals were created from this idea in the same as well.

But one of the most amazing facts about this movie is that it was actually truly filmed in Texas in the summertime. And if you don’t know about the Texas heat in the summer it is really hot. But just imagine the horrible heat that these people had to go through. Because in the famous dinner scene They had to film it in the daytime but mimic that was pitch night.

So from this day put black Sheets along the windows to mimic night time but from this made the house insanely hot and contained the heat even worse. From this one scene only they filmed it for 24 hours and from the extreme heat the guy that played Leatherface Gunnar Hansen, Said “It was unbearable to wear that mask and costume for that long, in the Texas summer heat.” And that at one point he was slowly going insane and thought about killing his fellow actress Marilyn Burns because of the extreme heat.

But not just that from the extreme heat they used real meat for the dinner scene So after 24 hours and the extreme heat the meat was horrible and smell and rotting some couldn’t even stand it and had to get off set.

Although each actor said that it was excruciating to go through that scene even the ones behind the camera watching. There is one actor that truly hated the personality of one of the characters that is Paul A. Partain.

He said in an interview that it was so hard to play his character because he was so whiny all the time. So for the entire time of filming on said he had to keep the character During filming because he was afraid of losing it if not. In a interview he specifically said “He was such a whiny bastard.”

Lastly what we should take away from this movie Is that or over 50 years that it has brought inspiration to others and entertainment to horror lovers alike. And overall is a Great Masterpiece and I have so much gratitude to the Film Production for it. Thank you for listening and stay creepy.
