The cheer team has 20 girls on the team this year and they are “wowing” the crowd with their stunning talent. Their stunts and tumbling are better than ever. They got many awards at their UCA camp along with a beautiful routine.
The CHS cheerleaders don’t only show their talent to their community, they show their love by helping and serving in their community. They have done a lot of community service so far this year and have more planned to come. What they have done so far this year:
- McNab Golf Tournament volunteering
- freshman orientation tours
- Big Kahuna Wing Fest set up
- help teachers set up for the school year
- Helping Mamas volunteering
- Cleaning up the Emerald Youth facility
- Salvation Army “homework club” volunteering
- opening car doors for elementary schools
- packing goody bags for teachers
- parkveiw senior living
- youth cheer competition set up/take down
- community coalition against human trafficking
- kids place volunteering
- Bobcat youth sign-ups volunteering
The cheerleaders still have many other things planned to help their community this year during basketball season. During football season, all of their hard work and team work has helped their team and candidate Ella Grossman to be crowned homecoming queen.
