County Art Fair Winner: Camille Wilson

At the county art fair, Camille Wilson made beautiful artwork and won.

This is Camille’s artwork

Starting off, at the County art fair, student Camille Wilson won “best-mixed media”. Hardworking, dedicated, Central student Camille Wilson, using a pencil drew a realistic self-portrait. Adding to her drawing, she drew plants and a few other naturally occurring objects around her portrait.

Wilson created her contemporary art piece while in an AP drawing course. Wilson attended her AP course last spring. The deep meaning behind this beautiful artwork is conveying the similarities between the growth in nature, and growing as a person.

Wilson’s artwork falls under the category of mixed media. Her piece of work is described as mixed media because of her background. Her background is a cyanotype which is a stunning nature print made with the help of the sun. Her mixed media art also includes drawings and collages. There were several other winners from Central High School, including Cristian Diego-Domingo, Jackson Lore, and Ava Fortner.
