Music is a huge part of people’s lives, especially in high school. People’s taste in music is changing all the time. The question is, what kind of music is the most popular at Central right now?
According to survey results, Country Music is Central High School’s most listened-to music genre. Pop and rap, coming in very close behind that.
Everyone knows how big Taylor Swift is right now. She led the pack at VMA this year with a total of eight nominations, including Artist of the Year, video of the year, and song of the year for her hit 2022 track “Anti-Hero.” She won all the categories in which she was nominated that were televised. This pole also shows her fame by being the most listened to at Central.
Morgan Wallen and Zach Bryan are also very popular in the countryside of music. They are tied for second most listened to. They both have big tours going on right now which has led them to be very popular. Morgan Wallen went to Gibbs High School so he is well-known around here. Zach Bryan is going on tour and one of the places he is performing is in Knoxville.
A few people were asked how music impacts them as a high schooler and this is what they said, “Music helps me sleep better.” “Whenever I am upset, music helps me feel better.” “Music helps me focus at school or when doing homework.”
