As the end of the year approaches, so does Central’s 2023 Graduation! This year’s graduation will be held on May 19 at 6 p.m., but graduating seniors will meet in the cafeteria no later than 5:15 p.m. The ceremony will be held in the Dan Y. Boring football stadium, where family and friends are welcome to come and support their graduates.
Graduation practice will be held May 18 at 10:30 a.m., and seniors are expected to arrive no later than 10:15. Parking for practice will be in the student parking lot, and students will not be able to enter the building at any time. Administrators recommend wearing comfortable clothing and shoes as well as bringing water due to the possibility of a long rehearsal.
Immediately after graduation practice, the senior picnic is being held at Emerald’s Sandsom Sports Complex at 234 Dale Avenue NW. The school is providing food trucks, games and the senior video, but students are welcome to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets. If a student’s senior fees are paid, the cost of the meal is covered, but they must be paid prior to May 18.
