Going into Ms. Jasmine Silar’s office, the big lights are off with lamps on, making her office comfortable. She has games along with some snacks for her clients. They sit on a comfortable couch when they are open to express themselves in a safe space.
On November 17, 2021 Ms. Jasmine started helping people with their problems. Before Mrs. Jasmine was a therapist, she was a college career success coach. She wanted to be a therapist because she felt like she couldn’t connect with her students and the mental challenges they were going through. She decided to go back to school and get her Masters in mental health counseling.

When asked what her favorite thing about being a therapist is she says, “Helping my clients. I know that I won’t be able to help them all but I am learning to be very grateful for the ones that I can.” She always listens to what her clients have to say even if it isn’t mental health related.
Mrs. Jasmine is a human like all of us, her favorite movie is, the 2022 action movie, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Her favorite music artist is American Singer Aaliyah. She currently doesn’t have any pets but she would love to have a golden doodle. Outside of school she loves to go to the movies!
