Senior Lily Wilds signed to Piedmont University on Tuesday, November 22. Around 2:30 p.m. friends and family gathered in the library to watch as Wilds took her next steps in her soccer career.
Wilds had several other schools interested in her, but she said she chose Piedmont because, “I
like the coach, and it’s not away from home but not too far.”

Along with high school soccer, the athlete also plays club soccer at North and does training on the side. Her coaches describe her as a “hardworking individual” and “a tough player”. Wilds has undergone several surgeries but has continued to push through the challenges. She is constantly working and pushing herself to become a better player, and doesn’t let anything get in the way of her playing time.

Not only a four year starter for Central, but she led the team this year as a captain, along with Lexi Fordham. She was also on the team that went to state her freshman year.
Throughout her school career Wilds earned many awards including; freshman of the year, defensive player of the year, second team all district, second team all region, first team all district, first team all region, and captains award.
Lily Wilds is thrilled to have the opportunity to continue her soccer career and can’t wait to meet her new team. She says she is most excited about “Getting the opportunity to play at a higher level and for the challenge.”
