Knoxville’s 47th annual Christmas parade is set to be held this Friday, December 6. The parade will begin at 7pm, rain or shine.
This year marks the 47th annual Christmas parade for Knoxville. The parade will be a joint event with the news broadcast station, WIVK and the City of Knoxville.
The parade is set to start off at Church Street and makes its way to Gay Street, where it will end. An emcee will each float that passes by.
Though this event requires you to bundle up, it’s one of many of Knoxville’s events that are well worth seeing.
But some people want a Christmas event closer to home, this Friday is Fountain City’s Christmas tree lighting. From 6-8pm at Fountain City park, the event will include free cookies and hot chocolate as well as a visit from Santa. And for entertainment, Central High School’s Choir will be performing carols.
