Battlefield V Controversy

Fans and critics are at a crossroads when it come to playable female characters in Battlefield V. Some argue women should be included in the game, others argue that it is historically inaccurate to include them and they should not be included in the game at all.


Patrick Soderlund from EA responded to all the hate by tweeting, “You have two choices: either accept it or don’t buy the game.” -Patrick Soderlund Chief Design Officer of EA. For any reader confused what a CCO is here’s the definition: A Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) is a corporate official in charge of overseeing and managing compliance issues within an organization.

The battlefield reveal trailer has 190,000 likes to a 48,000 dislike ratio. After researching the trailers on YouTube, I found this is the first reveal trailer video with the most dislikes in the entire Battlefield series.

The game was set to release on October 19, 2018, but the games pre orders have dropped a record low of 85%. The game is now delayed due to the poor pre-order sales on November 20, 2018.
